A person cannot get COVID-19 from COVID-19 vaccines.
Because there still may be a small chance you can become infected and spread the virus to others, once you've gotten any COVID-19 vaccine, please continue to wear your mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance after being vaccinated.

TAKE STEPS TO PROTECT YOURSELF & PLAN AHEAD
- Clean your hands often with soap and warm water.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer.
- Stop handshakes - use other non contact ways of greeting each other.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Consider keeping a 2 week supply of prescription and over the counter medicines, food and other essential household items.
- Establish a plan for childcare needs in case of cancellation of events.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Put distance between yourself and other people - especially if you are at higher risk of getting very sick.
- Keep windows open, when possible, to increase ventilation.
- Limit attendance at larger gatherings.
- If traveling to international/high risk areas, you may need to self-quarantine for 14 days before returning to school/work.
- Stay home if you are sick (colds, cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea or vomiting) except to get medical care. Call your doctor first if you are ill.
- If you have vomiting or diarrhea, STAY HOME for at least 48 hours after the last episode and symptoms have subsided.
- If you have a fever (>100 degrees), stay home for 48 hours after your temperature has stayed below 100 degrees without fever-reducing medicines (such as Tylenol or Advil)
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow, then Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer.
- Teach your child how to cover coughs and sneezes.
- Avoid air dryers for hands.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets and sinks.
- Ensure all utensils and dishes and cups are cleaned thoroughly. Do not share!
